Every Ciao Fabry Tours experience is private, but the details can vary depending on the tour you choose, where you’re staying and the local experiences included in your day.

THE BASICS
Start here if you’re wondering how my private tours work and what makes them different.
Yes. My tours are private experiences for you and your travel companions. You won’t be placed into a shared group with other travelers.
Yes. I personally host Ciao Fabry Tours experiences, so the person helping you plan your day is also the person you’ll spend your Tuscany experience with.
My tours are centered primarily around southern Tuscany, especially Montepulciano, Pienza, Val d’Orcia and the surrounding countryside. This is the part of Tuscany I know best and where many of my relationships with wineries, farms and local producers are based.
Yes. You can choose one of my existing private experiences or ask me to create a Custom Tuscany Tour around your interests, pace and where you’re staying.
Current experiences include private wine tours, truffle hunting, Tuscan cooking classes, Pienza and Montepulciano, custom tours and Fabrizio’s Ultimate Tuscan Tour.
BOOKING & PRICING
You don’t need to have every detail figured out before sending a request.
Use my private tour request form to share the experience you’re interested in, your preferred date, group size, accommodation and anything else you’d like me to know. I’ll personally review your request and follow up with availability and the details needed to continue.
No. The form is a tour request. I’ll first review your date, availability and itinerary details. Your reservation is confirmed only after we have agreed on the arrangements and completed the necessary booking steps.
Pricing depends on the experience you choose and any optional additions. Current examples include:
Custom tour pricing varies depending on the itinerary and experiences requested.
Yes, depending on the tour. Current lunch options may include a winery lunch, farmhouse lunch with olive oil tasting, or a sheep farm and artisan cheese lunch. These experiences are generally €60 per person and are subject to availability and itinerary.
Earlier is generally better, especially during Tuscany’s busiest travel months. Many of the wineries, farms, cooking experiences and other local partners I work with are small and have limited availability.
Payment details are provided when your tour arrangements are confirmed. If you have a specific payment question before booking, please contact me directly.
GETTING AROUND
Where you’re staying matters because Tuscany’s roads and travel times can shape what fits comfortably into your day.
Meeting and pickup arrangements depend on the experience and where you’re staying. When you submit a tour request, include the name and location of your accommodation if you already have it booked so I can confirm the most practical arrangements.
Your accommodation helps me calculate realistic travel times, determine pickup options and make sure we don’t try to squeeze too much into one day. I would rather give you a relaxed experience than spend unnecessary hours driving between stops.
Transportation arrangements vary by tour and pickup location. I’ll clearly explain what is included and any transportation arrangements when I respond to your request.
Not necessarily. My tours focus primarily on Montepulciano, Pienza, Val d’Orcia and the surrounding southern Tuscan countryside. Send me the location of your accommodation and I’ll tell you what is realistic for the experience you’re considering.
FOOD, WINE & LOCAL EXPERIENCES
Food and wine are an important part of many Ciao Fabry Tours experiences, but what’s included depends on the tour.
No. What’s included varies by experience. Some tours include food or a meal as part of the experience, while others offer optional lunch additions. The individual tour page explains what is included, and I’ll confirm everything before you book.
Depending on your tour and availability, options can include a three-course winery lunch, a Tuscan farmhouse lunch with olive oil tasting, or a sheep farm and artisan cheese lunch featuring local cheeses and fresh ricotta.
Yes. The private truffle hunting experience includes a traditional Tuscan farmhouse lunch after the hunt. An optional private winery visit can also be added for €200, subject to availability.
You can choose between a hands-on fresh pasta experience at Alessandro’s Tuscan farmhouse near Pienza or a pizza-making class in Montepulciano. Both are currently €150 per person.
Please tell me about dietary restrictions, allergies or other food requirements when you submit your request. I’ll check what can be accommodated with the specific winery, farmhouse, cooking host or producer involved in your experience.
YOUR GROUP
Absolutely. Many of my guests are couples looking for a relaxed, personal way to experience Tuscany without joining a group tour.
Yes. Many experiences can work very well for families. Let me know the ages of any children traveling with you so I can recommend the most suitable pace and activities.
Possibly, depending on the experience, transportation and local partners involved. Include your full group size in the tour request so I can confirm what is practical.
Please tell me before booking. Tuscany’s historic hill towns can include steep streets, uneven paving and stairs, so knowing about mobility considerations helps me recommend the most appropriate experience and pacing.
My tours are offered in English.
ON THE DAY
There is always a plan because reservations and travel times matter, but I don’t want your day to feel rushed or scripted. One of the advantages of a private experience is being able to adjust the pace when possible.
Many experiences can still take place in changing weather, although outdoor activities may need to be adjusted. If weather could materially affect your tour, I’ll discuss the best available options with you.
Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended, particularly for hill towns such as Montepulciano and Pienza. Dress for the season and check the forecast before your tour, especially for outdoor experiences such as truffle hunting or vineyard visits.
Tipping is not required. If you feel you’ve received exceptional service and would like to leave a gratuity, it is always appreciated.
