No two days have to follow exactly the same route, but a typical private wine tour includes two family-owned wineries along with time to enjoy the countryside between them.
Your First Winery
We’ll begin with a vineyard and cellar visit where you’ll learn about the estate, its wines and the family’s approach to winemaking before sitting down for a tasting.
Through the Tuscan Countryside
Between wineries, the drive becomes part of the experience. Depending on our route, we can pass through Val d’Orcia landscapes, vineyards, cypress-lined roads and historic hill towns.
A Second Family-Owned Winery
At the second winery, you’ll experience another producer and another perspective on Tuscan wine. The styles, traditions and personalities can be quite different — which is part of what makes visiting more than one winery so interesting.
I keep the day flexible so we can enjoy the places that interest you rather than rushing from one reservation to the next.
